Meerkat Technologies comprises two business units, namely Metal Engineering and Contract Manufacturing. We began providing services to Original Equipment Manufacturers in 1995, by producing various factory automation systems, for the semiconductor and electronics industries. It has its origin as Original Equipment Manufacturing department of LKT Integration Sdn Bhd. With an increase in the range of OEM services, the department evolved into an individual company by itself in January 2004 and was known as LKT Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. In year 2006, it won the Enterprise 50 Award, organized by SMIDEC (Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation) and Deloitte Malaysia in recognition of the achievements of enterprising homegrown companies that are well-positioned for the future. Out of the 50 winners, LKT Manufacturing was ranked at the 21st position. Metal Engineering was formerly a department known as Metal Works, under the umbrella of LKT Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd. It was established in 1978 to fabricate Machine Steel Structures (Structural Steel and "Skin") for semiconductor equipment, automotive fixtures and industrial machines and equipment. Known for its reliability and consistency in metalworking services, Metal Engineering has carved a name for itself amongst our customers, making it a "Fabricator of Choice". It was consolidated as a division of Meerkat when the latter was formed.
